Tamper Proof Nut

Tamper-resistant nuts refer to the use of packaging, systems or other physical measures to resist tampering by normal users of the product, intentionally causing malfunctions or performing sabotage actions. There are many reasons for applying tamper resistance.

Tamper-resistant features range from simple features to complex devices that render themselves inoperable or encrypt all data transmitted between boards, or require special tools and knowledge to operate. Packaging often has tamper-evident devices or features to prevent tampering with the packaging or product.

A tamper-resistant nut has one or more components: tamper resistance, tamper detection, tamper response, and tamper proof. In some applications, devices are only tamper-proof but not tamper-proof.
